What do you mean by this and what is the original shaft? So I’m thinking about doing my own reshafting irons I generally cut off the ferrules first so I don’t need clean up much on the heads. Posted January 8, Luckily that part got cut off. Cure the epoxy at room temperature if all possible.. I’m assuming a wire brush and sand paper, but I suppose that I could be wrong.

FSG golf 4 Member Joined: RexS Member Joined: The old shafts were PX 5. A selfmade shaft puller is not really hard to do diyy on golfwrx for “diy shaft puller”, the website is down ATM. Sanded the new shafts to get a better surface for the epoxy to stick to. Insert the shaft into the hosel of your replacement head and twist it to be sure the epoxy covers both.

Perhaps the old shafts had tip weights. Also, what works best for cleaning the hosel and tip? Because the grip solvent needs about 15 to 20 minutes to dry, you will have plenty of time to make final adjustments. You’ll first need to roughen the tips of the replacement shafts and resuaft inside of the hosels.
Graphite becomes much more problematic Really cleaned up my ferrule turn down process. In all honesty your description of the new feeling isnt helpful. The one mistake Doy made was not being careful, and letting too much heat heat gun hit the shaft, which melted it. Good luck with the build!!
